January 2017

"And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been." -Rainer Maria Rilke

It's so hard to believe it's already 2017!  Here's a look at our January!

We had our first big snow of the winter...about 10 inches!  Three of us had a lot of fun playing in our front yard and driveway while Elisabeth enjoyed the snow from the back of our Highlander...

Lizzie turned 6 months old!!!  I'm not sure how she's grown up so quickly, but I kind of wish it would slow down!!  She's sitting up on her own and army crawling, and I already miss having a teeny tiny newborn!

She also started solid foods.  I've tried to do mostly baby-led-weaning with her, but I have done a few purees here and there.  So far we've done carrots, banana, pumpkin, green beans, and pears.  Carrots are a least favorite (although, as shown by the pictures, she'll obviously eat them) and pumpkin and green beans are favorites!  So fun to see what she likes!

We also had a full evaluation for Joseph regarding a few developmental delays he's had.  His assessment was done by the Cone Health Developmental Center and he has started occupational therapy on motor skills at Cone Health Outpatient Pediatric Rehab.  I'm happy to report that he's progressing BEAUTIFULLY!  We can't believe how far he's come in just a few weeks, and we're anticipating him to fully catch up soon. :-)

Waiting for our second assessment appointment

He had fun throughout the whole process!

And he LOVES occupational therapy!
And, as always, a bunch of random photos of these fabulous individuals ;-)

Love this little guy!

And love that sweet smile!

Someone thoroughly enjoyed the box our double jogging stroller came in

My little golfer!
Now such thing as too much bow...

Or too much bonnet...I mean, come on y'all, we're in the south!

This VBAC baby was the very best "push present." ;-)

Yay!  I'm officially caught up on blogging!  Now to start capturing February memories!
