May was quite the busy month for our little family! Joseph had an eye exam by a pediatric opthalmologist. His vision turned out to be perfect, but we got a good laugh out of his dilated eyes and cool sunglasses. ;-)
And his tee-ball season came to an end. I miss it, and look forward to him playing again this coming year!
So proud of this boy! |
We enjoyed a beautiful day at Bog Garden with some friends...
And we celebrated Mother's Day with some time at Bicentennial Gardens and dinner at Great Mimi's house...
Four generations |
We spent almost a week in Highlands, NC, visiting my in-laws, sister-in-law, and nephews. There was fishing galore...
I got a second birthday celebration, thanks to my sister-in-law and her baking/cake decorating skills!
David and I got to have a wine date at the overlook in my in-laws neighborhood, Cullasaja Club, while the kiddos stayed with Mimi and Poppy...
Nearby Whiteside Mountain as seen from the overlook. Geologists estimate that Whiteside is the oldest mountain in the US and possibly the oldest mountain in the world. |
Always a breathtaking view |
The kiddos got plenty of time to play at the neighborhood park...
And there were many fun times with family...
Cousin love! |
We returned home for Memorial Day weekend, which was a perfect time to spend the afternoon at a park...
Oh, and another fun thing that happened in May? The kiddos and I locked ourselves out of the house one random day. Winning! Nonie to the rescue with our spare key, but why not take pictures while waiting in the driveway, right?
They didn't seem to mind the adventure |
And finally, more pics of the kiddos...
This frilly thing started pulling up and cruising a little, but also perfected her crawling skills |
Proof that Jojo can rest anywhere! |
Right before buckling the kids into their car seats one day...love seeing these two love each other! |
