"Have convictions. Be friendly. Stick to your beliefs as they stick to theirs. Work as hard as they do." -Eleanor Roosevelt
This was a good, although busy week for us. We did some more painting on the house (it's exciting to see the painting be closer and closer to being finished) and went to a tile showroom to pick out some possible tile for both bathrooms, our kitchen, and our glassed-in porch. I am excited about some of the samples the tile designer showed us! Once our home renovations are totally done, I'll take lots of pictures for the blog to show what we've done.
Monday evening, we stopped by the Guilford County GOP headquarters to pick up the campaign signs of the conservative candidates running in our district, who we will be supporting in November. When people drive by our house, there should be no doubt in their mind that we are a Conservative household! ;-)
Thursday evening, we went to the Greensboro Coliseum to hear Dr. David Jeremiah speak. For those who may not know, Dr. Jeremiah is a pastor at a huge church in California and the leader of Turning Point Ministries. You can hear him on a lot of Christian talk radio stations such as AM 830 here in the Triad. He spoke Thursday about how Christians can live courageously during the current economic crisis. It was REALLY an amazing message. The coliseum was almost sold out, and it was the LARGEST turnout that Turning Point Ministries had ever had at one of their events. I was very proud to see so many people of God turn out from my hometown! Anyway, here are some pictures from the event (sorry they are blurry!)...
We had a great week and hope everyone else did, too!
