We had a great Easter week!
At the beginning of the week, we went shopping to find a belt to go with Joseph's Easter outfit. While we didn't find a belt we liked (ended up ordering one from Amazon), Joseph enjoyed trying on hats at Osh Kosh B'Gosh (and no, we didn't buy a hat). :-)
Wednesday evening we sat on our back porch and dyed Easter eggs! We dyed one for each of our family members, one for our 6 babies (collectively) in Heaven, and 1 for Jesus. Joseph had a great time! And he was so very proud of his pastel yellow egg (his favorite color).
Lizzie's crib bedding also arrived this week in the mail (well, the crib quilt and sheets...the bed skirt is on back order and will come in April). So fun to put some pink on her bed! On Friday, I turned 23 weeks pregnant. I like getting this far along, because statistics show that if she were born (for whatever reason) at 23 weeks she'd have a 10-35% chance of survival with modern medicine. I know those odds aren't super high, but for me just knowing she'd have a chance is such a relief. And by this Friday her survival odds will jump to 40-70%, and then they of course just keep going up every week that she "cooks" from here on out. I'm hoping she'll stay put another 16-17 more weeks!
Jojo and I generally eat at home for lunch or, if we do get something out, we bring it back home with us. But Thursday I decided we needed a mommy-son lunch date at Qdoba. So out we went and had so much fun sitting there and chatting while we ate! :-)
On Friday, we went to a egg hunt with a bunch of church friends. Miss Sally and her husband host this giant egg hunt every year for the children and it's so much fun! Joseph enjoyed playing with toys, hunting eggs, and eating snacks afterwards while we listened to Bible stories.
On Saturday, David, Joseph, and myself took a day trip to Hillsborough and Chapel Hill. We ate lunch in Hillsborough at the very quaint Saratoga Grill. I had not been there to eat since my senior year at Carolina in 2003! So fun, and they gave him some toy trucks and cars to play with while we waited on our food. Afterward we walked down to the banks of the Eno River and the old Indian village there before heading to Chapel Hill.
It was a pretty cold, dreary Easter Sunday here, but that didn't stop me from putting Jojo in his Easter outfit. I could only get him to hold still long enough to take a couple of pictures before church. And last night, we went to my grandmother's house for an Easter dinner with my family. Since it was raining outside, we did our own "indoor egg hunt" in Great Mimi's house. :-)
